Your Gut Health Nutritionist in Aberdeenshire & Online
Support for Bloating, IBS, Reflux & Ongoing Digestive Symptoms
If you’re dealing with bloating, IBS like symptoms, reflux, heartburn, irregular bowel movements or unpredictable digestion, you’re not alone — and you’re not imagining it. Many of the people I work with have been told their tests are “normal”, yet they still feel uncomfortable, low in energy or feeling uneasy around food.
As a Registered Nutritional Therapist and Naturopath, I support clients in person in Aberdeenshire and online to get to the root of ongoing gut symptoms. Together, we look at what’s really driving your digestion issues and create realistic, sustainable changes that fit into your life — without strict diets or adding to overwhelm.
Common Gut Symptoms I Support
You might recognise yourself here if you’re struggling with:
-
Bloating (especially after meals or as the day goes on)
-
IBS-type symptoms
-
Reflux or heartburn
-
Irregular bowel movements (constipation, diarrhoea, or alternating)
-
Excess gas, flatulence or burping
-
Food reactions or sensitivities
-
Feeling lethargic, foggy or uncomfortable after eating
Many clients come to me after seeing their GP, trying different diets, or being told everything looks “fine” — yet they still don’t feel well. We work with your symptoms, your body and your lifestyle - not just test results.

My Approach to Gut Health
My approach is personal, supportive and science-based. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all plan or cutting out huge food groups unless truly needed.
Together, we explore:
-
Your digestion and symptoms
-
Your food patterns and relationship with food
-
Stress, lifestyle and routines
-
Your health history, medical conditions and medication
-
Whether functional testing may be helpful
The aim is to understand what’s driving your symptoms and create changes that feel realistic and sustainable — not another short-term fix.
Our Work Together (Step by Step)
Getting support for gut health doesn’t have to feel daunting.
Here’s what working together usually looks like:

1
Free discovery call
We start with a relaxed, no-pressure call to talk through what’s been going on for you, what you’ve already tried, and what you want from this next step in your journey. This is simply to see if we’re a good fit and whether working together feels.
2
Initial consultation
We start with an in-depth one hour initial session. This is where we take the time to properly understand your symptoms, health history, eating patterns and preferences, lifestyle, and any previous test results. We may also discuss functional testing to help uncover what’s driving your gut symptoms. We begin to form a plan and discuss first steps.
3
Follow-up sessions
This is where the real change happens. We work together over follow-up sessions to support your gut, review what’s helping, adjust what’s not, and build changes that fit into your real life. We layer on tweaks to your diet and lifestyle as we work together. You’re not expected to get everything “right” straight away — this is about progress, not perfection.
Who This Is For
Gut Health support may be right for you if:
-
You’ve tried multiple diets without lasting improvement
-
Your gut symptoms affect your confidence, energy, sleep or social life
-
You feel anxious around food or unsure what’s “safe” to eat
-
You want a root-cause, supportive approach rather than a quick fix.

Meet Laura
Your Gut Health Nutritionist in Aberdeenshire & Online

Hi, I’m Laura — a Registered Nutritional Therapist, Naturopath and Health Coach (mBANT, CNHC). I support people across Aberdeenshire and online who are struggling with ongoing gut symptoms like bloating, IBS, reflux, and digestive discomfort, as well as the stress and food worries that often come with them.
I know how frustrating it is to be told your tests are “normal” while you still don’t feel well. Many of my clients come to me after trying multiple diets or approaches without real answers. My role is to help you make sense of what’s happening in your body and guide you towards changes that feel manageable and supportive in real life.
My own health journey led me into this work. After years of pushing myself with a “work hard, play hard” lifestyle, my health began to suffer. Working with a naturopath helped me understand how closely gut health, stress, lifestyle and nutrition are connected — and how powerful small, consistent changes can be.
My approach is personal, supportive and science-based. There’s no one-size-fits-all plan here. We work together at your pace, looking for the root causes of your gut symptoms and building a plan that helps you feel more comfortable in your body, more energised day to day, and less anxious around food.

FAQs on Gut Health Support with Laura Leslie
1 / Can you help with IBS, bloating and ongoing digestive symptoms?
Yes. I support people with IBS, bloating, reflux, heartburn, irregular bowel movements and ongoing digestive discomfort. We look at what’s driving your symptoms rather than just managing them short-term.
2 / Do I need a diagnosis to work with you?
No. Many clients come to me without a formal diagnosis and are simply told their tests are “normal”. We work with your symptoms and your lived experience, even if you don’t have a label like IBS.
3 / Do you use functional or gut testing?
Sometimes. Testing isn’t always needed, but where appropriate it can help us understand what’s happening in your gut more clearly. We would always discuss this together before deciding if testing is right for you.
4 / How long does it take to see improvements in gut symptoms?
Many people notice small improvements within a few weeks, but deeper gut healing can take time. Your timeline will depend on what’s driving your symptoms and what feels manageable for you to change.
