Gut Health & Disordered Eating Nutritionist in Aberdeenshire and Online
About Nutritional Therapist Laura Leslie

Hi, I’m Laura! I'm a Registered Nutritional Therapist, Naturopath and Health Coach (mBANT, CNHC), supporting clients in my clinic in Aberdeenshire and online with gut health issues, IBS, and a difficult relationship with food.
My approach is personal, supportive and science-based. I work with people who are often told their tests are “normal”, yet they still don’t feel well in themselves. Together, we look for the root causes of ongoing gut symptoms, low energy, and food fears, and create realistic, sustainable changes that fit into real life.

Meet Laura Leslie
My personality is naturally go, go, go. After completing an MA in Business Management at the University of Glasgow, I moved to Aberdeen to be with my now husband and started working in recruitment. We were lucky enough to be transferred to Melbourne with our jobs in 2008, and I continued to work in this fast-paced industry.
Alongside the pressures I put on myself, this lifestyle quickly took its toll on my health. It was during this time that I met a wonderful Naturopath in Melbourne who helped me start putting the puzzle pieces together. I became aware that my “work hard, play hard, exercise hard” approach was impacting my health, and my eyes were opened to how important preventative health really is. I learned that I needed to slow down and live more mindfully.
This was the beginning of my journey. In 2011, we moved back to the UK so that I could study Naturopathic Nutrition at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London. I then worked for five years at Nuffield Health before setting up my own virtual clinic in 2020.
I am passionate about supporting clients who are working towards their health goals. We are all individuals, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to nutrition. My aim is to provide clear direction and supportive guidance in a simple, achievable way — especially for those who feel overwhelmed, confused, or stuck with ongoing gut issues or food struggles.

Who I Work With
I work with adults who are struggling with ongoing gut symptoms such as bloating, IBS, reflux, heartburn, irregular bowel movements, and food reactions. Many of my clients also feel a sense of fear around food, stuck in restrictive eating patterns, or disconnected from their body.
A lot of people come to me after they’ve seen their GP, had tests done, and been told everything looks “normal” — yet they still don’t feel well. If you’re tired of trying diet after diet and want a more supportive, root-cause approach, this is the kind of work I offer.
Ways I Can Support You
Clients often tell me they feel listened to, supported, and less overwhelmed after our sessions. We work together at your pace, with space to ask questions, reflect, and make changes when needed.
This isn’t about perfection. It’s about understanding your body, rebuilding trust with food, and making changes you can actually maintain.
I offer online consultations across Scotland and the UK, as well as in-person appointments in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire (Wednesdays). Online sessions work just as effectively for gut health and food relationship support and can fit around your lifestyle.

Personalised support for bloating, IBS, reflux and ongoing digestive symptoms. We look at the root causes of your gut issues and create a realistic plan to help you feel more comfortable, energised and in control.

Gentle, supportive help to improve your relationship with food and your body. Together we reduce food fear, ease restrictive patterns, and build trust in a way that feels calm and sustainable.

FAQs about working with nutritional therapist Laura
1 / Do I need a diagnosis like IBS or eating disorders to work with you?
No. Many clients come to me with symptoms but no formal diagnosis. We work based on how you feel and what your body is telling you.
2 / Can you help if I feel anxious around food?
Yes. Supporting a healthier relationship with food is a core part of my work, alongside improving gut symptoms.
3 / Do you work with clients outside Aberdeenshire?
Yes. I work with clients online across Scotland and the UK online.
4 / Is this suitable if I’ve tried lots of diets already?
Yes — many people come to me feeling fed up with trying different approaches that haven’t addressed the root causes.
